Overview
2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Institution of Civil Engineers.To celebrate ICE is running a year of events and activities that show how civil engineering has for over 200 years transformed the way we live.
ICE Bahrain invites you to the culmination of these; the Anniversary Celebration hosted at the British Embassy by the British Ambassador. This meet and greet session is open to all parties involved in the construction industry and their respective partners. Food and drink will be provided and, due to the expected popularity of the event, an early response is recommended. Dress code: smart or smart casual.

British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain
Mr Simon Martin has been appointed her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Martin joined the FCO in 1984 and served in London, Rangoon, Budapest and Prague in a number of policy and commercial roles. His most recent role was as Deputy Private Secretary to Their Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. Mr Martin is married to Sophie. He has one son and one daughter.

Mr. Al Zayani serves as the Honorary Chairman of the family firm, Al Zayani Investments B.S.C.© which operates a diverse portfolio of businesses such as Industry, Banking, Automotive, Healthcare and Real-estate. Sought by a number of social, educational institutions and NGOs for his vast knowledge, experience and advice, Mr. Al Zayani serves as the Board Member of various business communities and societies.
